    Stéphane Laguë, P.E.
Naval Architect
 
Naval Architect and professional engineer, Stéphane has been involved in the ship design and construction since 1987. He has participated in the design and construction of many types of vessels, semi-submersible oil-rigs, ferries, research vessels and catamarans. Stéphane has a talent to solve problems of high complexity. He has designed and built is own 28' sailing trimaran with his spouse.
  Étienne Duplain,  
Naval Architect
 
Naval Architect, Étienne has been involved in marine engineering since 1997. He has participated in the design of many specialised vessels such as Platform Supply Vessels (PSV), Anchor Handler Tug Supply Vesseld (AHTS) and ferries. He also has been involved in advanced analysis such as hydrodynamics, seakeeping and hull form design. Étienne is responsible for all structural and hydrodynamic aspects of design. He also owns his trimaran, built together with his spouse.
 
    Jean-Claude Laurin, technologist
Project Manager
 
Project manager and naval architectural technologist since 1997, Jean-Claude has acquired a very practical approach to problems that has helped Concept Naval perform specific tasks such as re-powering of vessels, design of specialised marine equipments (davits, cranes, A-Frames). Jean-Claude has been involved in many designs such as upward of 10 high speed aluminum boats and the design of two waterjet propulsion systems. Passionate of sailing, Jean-Claude owns a 33' sailboat which he sails on the St-Lawrence River with his spouse.
    Jérome St-Michel, Naval architecture technologist
 

Jérôme graduated from the Marine Institute of Quebec in Rimouski (IMQ). Quick leaner, jérôme provides our team with a balanced set of skills and new techniques learned from his studies. He also worked 2 years in company specialized in traditional wooden boat restoration. Finally he also is passionate about sailing.

 

Louis Choinière, Naval architecture technologist

 


In addition to his degree in naval architecture, Louis specializes in 3D Design and rendering. He worked as a 3D artist before joining our team in 2008. He enjoys technical puzzles and he is passionate about outdoors sports.

 
    Laurence Beaulieu, Naval architecture technologist
 

Graduate in Naval architecture technology of the Marine Institute of Quebec in 2008, Laurence joined the team of Concept Naval at the beginning of 2009. Her work experience at Davie Yards enables her to present a different perspective on the various problems met during ship design. She likes to work in stability of the ship and structure. Laurence particularly likes winter sports and camping.

   
 

Charles Henri Duthoit,
Naval architect

 

Graduated from Southampton Solent University, (UK), GMRINA, and B.Eng (2.1). Charles-Henri is devoted to the maritime industry since his youngest time and has joined Concept Naval as junior Naval architect for challenging projects in March 2010.
Before coming to Quebec, Charles was involved to numerous designs and supervision of ship construction such as cruise liners, LNG carrier, patrol ship and superyacht through a classification society and design office in Europe all in well-known places such as St Nazaire, Southampton, and Gdansk.

 
    Étienne Huot, junior mecanical eng.
 

Junior mechanical engineer, member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), Etienne acquired experience in various fields of Engineering before his passion towards ship design attracted him at Concept Naval. His educational background and his analytical skills enable him to support the team in several spheres of activity. Etienne is a great sportsman; he is in a team of ice canoe.

   
 

Jessika Brisson,
Naval architecture technologist

Jessika is Naval architecture technologist, graduate of the maritime Institute in 2007. She acquired various experiences of work in the maritime field before joining the team of Concept Naval in June 2009. Jessika decided to look further into her knowledge and her competences by pursuing an degree in mechanical engineering. Rich of her experiments, Jessika is versatile and her personality fits the team spirit of Concept Naval. Structure, ship stability and mechanics are the fields that she particularly affectionate.
